Waynes World
Wayne’s World is a 6 ½ mile loop that starts at the Red Gate on Sand Mountain. Comprised of sand dunes, sheer slickrock, off-camber sections, washes, and ledges, Wayne’s World offers many challenges. The trail begins at the Red Gate on Sand Mountain. The route showcases exceptional views of Zion National Park, The Pine Valley Mountains, the Hurricane Cliffs, and Sand Hollow Reservoir.

Section 2 has a series of tight climbs through the gulch— including Horseshoe Falls, which has been the cause of many tip-overs and breaks. After the gulch, the trail follows the west side back down. The third section begins at a sand drop into another, wider gulch. Section 3 features some difficult ledges (which drivers commonly bypass), then a few more climbs into a slot, and ends with a wide V-notch. Sliplock Gulch is a tough trail.
