Just under Yellowstone National Park and the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Jackson Hole is a popular vacation spot for adventurers. The off-roading trails around the Jackson Hole area aren’t especially challenging, but the stunning scenery more than makes up for it. Here are some 4×4 trails in the area to add some off-roading to your Jackson Hole getaway.

Union Pass
Union Pass is a well-maintained dirt road. It’s an easy route more meant for sight seeing than intense wheeling. That may sound discouraging, but the views are more than worth it. It’s accessible to any passenger vehicle, so anyone can enjoy the untouched wonders this area offers. You’ll get glittering streams that lead to clear lakes and the stunning mountain vistas of the Teton National Forest.

Clark’s Draw
This trail sits southeast from Jackson. It’s a rougher dirt road, but still easily passable for most vehicles. The road gets very muddy during wet seasons which makes for a thrillingly messy day of wheeling. At the eastern end there is a grove of aspen trees that are gorgeous in the fall. Clark’s Draw is often used as a connector to Monument Ridge.

Monument Ridge
About an hour from Jackson, Monument Ridge is a moderate trail. So it’s a bit more challenging than the trails we’ve already described. Monument Ridge is the only Jeep Badge of Honor trail in all of Wyoming, and one of two fire lookouts accessible by a road. The road is made of packed dirt and rock and features several optional mud pits.

Add some off road wheeling to your next Jackson Hole outing with these 3 trails.
