Valentine’s Day is filled with pink and red and lots of romance. If you’re planning to take your partner on an epic off-roading date to celebrate (a phenomenal idea), here are the trails we suggest.

Lover’s Lane
Gold Bar, WA
Take that special someone on this trail to reminisce about the beautiful memories you’ve shared amidst the lovely forest scenery. Relive all of the arguments you’ve survived as you struggle over the difficult boulder obstacles. And laugh about all of the unexpected surprises your relationship has thrown at you as you navigate the tight twists and turns of the road. The turns are more difficult for longer wheel-based vehicles, but you guys will be just fine– love can overcome anything.

Lovelady
Deep Springs, VA
This trail offers well-kept camping sites in the middle of George Washington National Forest. It’s accessible to most rigs. It’s even possible to get a trailer up there if you’ve got guts and the ability to endure stress– which you’ll need anyway for a relationship. Dragging a trailer up over Lovelady with your partner might be the perfect way to test the limits of your love.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes
Kanab, UT
Not only are these dunes a very festive pink, they are incredibly fun to play around in. Bring out your inner child with your significant other and let your wonder run free. The dunes don’t have a set trail to follow. Make up your own path and get creative! Finding the path that works for you is part of the fun of a relationship!

Heartbreak Ridge
Big Bear City, CA
This one goes out to all our single readers. Valentine’s Day is great when you’ve got someone to share it with, but it can be miserable if you don’t. Do not dispair, harness that misery and unleash it in the mountains of San Bernadino Forest. Bulldoze over the rock gardens and shove through the narrow canyon. Rage your way across Heartbreak Ridge, and you’ll feel much better.

Dig out your planner and grab a pink pen, it’s time to plan a epic date for Valentine’s Day!
